Starting September, the WARNING SIREN located on the roof of the Jean-Alary Theater will be operational again.
The City Siren will sound first Wednesday of every month at 12 p.m.
This tool is essential for your safety: in the event of an alert or serious incident, it will allow the population to be quickly warned.
When you hear the monthly test sounds, don’t panic! This is completely normal. ✅

The Mairie also invites all Carcassonne residents to sign up for the free automated alert system implemented by the City for several years now, allowing them to be informed in real time by text message or phone call in the event of major events. Information and registration at: https://www.carcassonne.org/article-page/inscription-au-systeme-dalerte-automatise
– to fill in the form on this page you can be permenantly or part time resident (enter dates)
The system will call your phone once you complete the form and ask you to confirm by pressing 1 at the end of the call.
That is it. If there are any major emergency warnings such as flooding etc you will be contacted.
