How to get from Carcassonne Airport to City Center
There are three ways to get from Carcassonne airport to the city center.
- Airport Shuttle Bus / Navette
- Regular Bus (take the regular bus which has a stop 10 mins walk from the airport)
- Taxi

The city bus service provides an airport shuttle service between Carcassonne Airport and Carcassonne city centre. The shuttle serves LA Cité (the Medieval City of Carcassonne), Square Gambetta, the Dome, the SNCF train station and Bunau Varilla/Place Davilla.
The shuttle bus is right outside arrivals at the airport when you land.
When you exit the SNCF train station, the stop is located immediately after the car park as you exit on your left before crossing the canal.
In the direction Carcassonne -> Airport, the Shuttle timetables are adapted to flight times and allow you to arrive 1 hour before the flight departure for check-in. If you are checking in bags or it is summer time it may be advisable to get an earlier bus or taxi.
In the direction Airport -> Carcassonne, the Shuttle departs after each flight arrival.
Ticket price: €6 Free for children under 5 years old.
Where to purchase: Tickets can be purchased from the driver or directly on the RTCA mobile application.
The Airport Shuttle ticket is valid all day and allows connections on the entire network (RTCA urban and non-urban lines).
Regular Bus
The bus stop to take the regular bus to Carcassonne city is a 10 min walk from the airport to the closest bus stop which is called “Henri Buffet”. Just outside the shop called “Noz” and “Mediapost”. The bus costs €1.20 and can be paid for on the bus. We recommend having the correct change.
