Tourist train around Carcassonne and the Castle

Runs daily from Monday to Saturday
June 16th to September 6th, 2025 (not on July 14)

Departures every hour from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Chénier Gare and from 11:40 a.m. to 6:40 p.m. from the Medieval City.

Round trip is €7 
Children under 5 are FREE
Tickets available from the driver – payment by card is accepted OR on the app RTCA.

The Little Train offers two journeys to explore the city center and the Medieval City of Carcassonne.
The first route connects Square André Chénier to the Medieval City.
The second on the return connects the Medieval City to Square André Chénier following a differnt path.

The Little Train offers you the chance to see many unique and historic sites such as Square André Chénier, Place Davilla, Saint-Michel Cathedral, the Portail des Jacobins, the Dome, the Bridge, the Pont-Vieux, Rue Trivalle, and the Medieval City. 

Tickets can be purchased from the driver or via the RTCA mobile app. Payment by credit card is available on board the vehicle. Fare: €7.

This is a fantastic way for those less mobile, very young or elderly – or those who just want a fun trip – to explore the city.
