Just a quick heads-up about the summer street closures and pedestrian zones coming back to Carcassonne.
Here is what you need to know to plan your driving and parking:
Trivalle District (Starts Friday, May 1st!)
- When: Every day from 11:00 AM to 11:59 PM.
- Where: Rue Trivalle, Rue Flandres-Dunkerque, Rue Gustave Nadaud, Rue de la Gaffe, and Place Saint-Gimer.
- Rules: No traffic or parking.
- Exceptions: Residents, emergency/public services (speed limited to 10 km/h), and tourist trains.
Bastide City Center (June 21 – August 31)
- When: Every day from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
- Where: – Rue de Verdun, from Rue Jean-Bringer to Rue Chartrand
– Rue de la République, from Rue Jean-Bringer to Rue du Docteur-Albert-Tomey
– Rue Antoine-Armagnac, from Rue Victor-Hugo to Rue du 4-Septembre
– Rue Victor-Hugo, from Rue du Docteur-Albert-Tomey to Rue Antoine-Armagnac
– Rue de l’Aigle-d’Or, from Rue Antoine-Armagnac to Rue Barbès
– Rue Barbès, from Place Carnot to Rue Jean-Bringer
– Rue Pinel, from Rue Barbès to Rue de Verdun. - Rules: No traffic or parking.
- Exceptions: Residents with a garage/private parking (speed limited to 6 km/h), morning deliveries, and market pack-ups.
